Hi, I'm Ethan

I help SMP, PMU, and aesthetics clinic owners break the feast-or-famine cycle through Facebook ads and websites that actually work. No fluff. No generic agency tactics. Just proven systems I’ve spent 5 years perfecting.

How Fully Booked Formula Started (And Why I'm Running It Now)

Fully Booked Formula didn’t start as my brand. It started as a training offer I built with my brother Alex.

The original concept:

We’d run Facebook ads and handle SEO for beauty clinics for a month

While teaching them our exact process

Then hand it over so they could run it themselves

The setup:

Alex fronted it (he’s known in the beauty training world – people trust his face)

I handled everything behind the scenes (the actual ads, websites, systems, teaching)

He responded to leads and sold it

I did the work

It worked well. For a while.

Then Alex moved on to other projects and stopped pursuing it. Fair enough – he’s got multiple businesses and different priorities.

But I realized something: This is what I’m actually good at.

I’d spent 5 years perfecting these systems. I knew exactly what worked for beauty businesses – not from theory, but from real campaigns, real budgets, real mistakes and real wins.

So I’m reviving Fully Booked Formula. Same systems. Same approach. But now it’s me – no middleman, no “face” needed.

Just me, doing what I’ve been doing behind the scenes for years.

How I Learned This (The Hard Way)

I didn’t go to marketing school. I didn’t work at an agency. I learned by doing – on my brother Alex’s SMP and aesthetics clinic.

For nearly 5 years, I’ve been:

Running his Facebook ads (testing, failing, learning, optimizing)

Building and improving his websites (alexjamessmp.co.uk was built from scratch by me)

Handling his SEO (getting him ranked for local searches)

Figuring out what actually works for beauty businesses

The early years were rough, honestly.

I took countless online courses. Most were generic “marketing 101” nonsense that didn’t apply to beauty businesses. I wasted budgets on terrible targeting. I built websites that looked pretty but didn’t convert.

But having a real business to test on meant I could learn fast:

Try something → See if it works → Keep or kill it

Repeat 100 times over 5 years

About 12 months ago, it all clicked.

The campaigns started consistently performing. Cost-per-lead dropped from £50+ to under £10. Websites started ranking and converting. I could finally say: “I actually know what I’m doing.”

The case studies you see on this site? That’s my work.

Not theory. Not “I helped a client once 3 years ago.” Active campaigns I manage right now.

Why I Only Work With SMP, PMU & Aesthetics Clinics

Simple answer: Because that’s where I learned everything.

Working with Alex’s SMP and aesthetics clinic for 5 years meant I encountered every issue beauty businesses face with marketing:

Facebook constantly flagging before/after photos (they think you’re selling medical services – you’re not, but try explaining that to an algorithm)

“Beauty & Spa” targeting bringing completely wrong people (your competitors, random spa-goers, people who have zero interest in your actual service)

Clients searching for solutions, not service names (nobody searches “SMP” – they search “hair loss solution” or “covering bald spots”)

The fear-based buying psychology (people are scared of looking fake, being judged, wasting money on something permanent)

Generic agencies don’t understand these nuances.

They run the same playbook for plumbers, lawyers, and beauty clinics. It doesn’t work.

I understand beauty business marketing because I’ve lived it for 5 years. I know what Facebook will flag. I know what copy converts. I know what objections stop people from booking.

This isn’t a niche I chose for business strategy reasons. It’s just what I know.

My Approach (Quality Over Quantity)

I only take 5 clients at a time – 3 Facebook ad campaigns + 2 website projects maximum.

Why so few?

Because I do the work personally. I’m not managing a team. I’m not delegating to VAs or junior staff.

When you work with me:

I build your campaigns

I write your ad copy

I check your results 3x per week

I write your website content

I optimize based on data

I can’t do quality work for 20 people simultaneously. So I don’t try.

This means:

Your campaigns actually get attention (not automated scripts)

I respond when you message (not waiting 3 days for “support”)

You work with someone who knows your business personally

The downside: I have to turn people away when I’m at capacity. If you want to work together and I’m full, you’ll have to wait 4-8 weeks until a spot opens.

But the clients I do work with get actual results – not just “we’ll try our best” promises.

What I Know Now (That I Wish I Knew in Year 1)

After 5 years and countless tests, here’s what actually matters:

1. Copy is 10x more important than targeting

Everyone obsesses over audience targeting. “Should I target people interested in beauty? Hair loss? Skincare?”

It doesn’t matter that much.

What matters is whether your ad copy makes someone think: “That’s me. I need this.”

If your ad says: “Transform your look!” (generic, could be anyone)
Nobody knows if it’s for them.

If your ad says: “Struggling with balding hair? Thinning at the crown getting you down?”
Men with hair loss immediately know: this is for me.

The targeting can be broad (men, 28-50, local area). The copy does the filtering.

2. Most beauty business websites don't convert because the copy is terrible

I’ve audited dozens of beauty clinic websites. Beautiful design. Professional photos. Terrible copy.

Common mistakes:

“We offer award-winning treatments in a luxurious environment!” (Nobody cares)

Pages that just list services with no explanation of benefits

No clear next step (what should I do after reading this?)

Generic “transform your appearance” messaging

What actually converts:

Calling out specific problems (“Tired of drawing on your eyebrows every morning?”)

Addressing objections directly (“Will it look natural? How long does it last?”)

Clear CTAs throughout (“Book a free consultation to see if you’re a good candidate”)

Pretty websites with bad copy = no bookings.
Average websites with great copy = bookings every day.

3. SEO takes 3-6 months (there's no shortcut)

People want page 1 Google rankings in 30 days. It doesn’t work like that.

Realistic timeline:

Month 1-2: Google indexes your site, starts understanding what you offer

Month 3-4: You start showing up on page 2-3 for some searches

Month 4-6: Gradual climb to page 1 for local searches

Anyone promising faster results is lying.

The good news? Once you rank, it’s relatively stable. Unlike ads (which stop the second you stop paying), SEO compounds over time.

4. You need both ads and a website (eventually)

Facebook ads = immediate bookings (leads within days)
Website + SEO = long-term organic growth (reduced ad dependency)

Most successful clinics:

Start with Facebook ads (get bookings NOW while building the business)

Add a professional website within 3-6 months (establish credibility)

Let SEO build in the background while ads bring immediate revenue

Gradually reduce ad spend as organic traffic increases

Don’t skip the website thinking “I’ll just run ads forever.” You’re building your business on rented land (Facebook). One account ban and your entire client pipeline disappears.

5. The beauty businesses that succeed are the ones that actually implement

I’ve worked with clinics that got incredible results and clinics that went nowhere.

The difference wasn’t their service quality or location.

The difference was implementation:

Successful clinics:

Respond to leads within 1 hour

Have a proper consultation process

Follow up with people who ghost

Actually use the systems we build

Unsuccessful clinics:

Take 24+ hours to respond to leads

Have no real sales process

Give up after 2 weeks if results aren’t “perfect”

Want the systems but won’t use them

I can bring you leads at £9-15 each. But I can’t make you convert them into clients. That part is on you.

I work personally

Beauty specialists only

Only 5 clients max

3+ years experience
